Bridal boudoir in Austin

A private session in my Austin studio, made as a gift for the person you are about to marry and a record of who you are right now.

The gift

Something for you, on your terms.

Your wedding will be photographed from every angle, in front of everyone you love. This is the opposite. A quiet, private set of portraits, made for the person you choose.

Some brides give their gift on the wedding morning, before the ceremony. Others keep their portraits as a gift to themselves. Either way, you choose the collection that suits you in your private online gallery, and every collection includes an album.

Planning your bridal session

A simple timeline

Wedding planning is already full. Here is how to fit this in without adding stress.

01

Reserve early

Reach out as soon as your wedding date is set. Your $450 experience fee, plus tax, holds your session date, so it is one less thing to think about.

02

Photograph two to three months out

That leaves time to choose your images and for your album to be made, which takes about 30 days after you order.

03

Give it on the day

Ask your maid of honor to deliver your gift on the wedding morning, a quiet moment for your partner before everything begins.

What brides bring
Your veil, or a spare one
Bridal lingerie in white or ivory
A button-down shirt that belongs to your partner

Your comfort

A male photographer, and a woman on set.

If you are wondering how your partner will feel about a male photographer, this may help. My female assistant is on set for every session unless you ask otherwise, I direct every pose with respect, and you see every image the moment it is taken.

Most of my clients keep their images private. Beyond me and my assistant, the only people who see them are the ones you choose.

Do I have to pose nude?

Never. A bridal session can be lingerie, lace and a veil. You set the limits, and you can change them on the day.

Can my partner join part of the session?

Yes, for about 15 minutes of photos together near the end. More time together carries an added fee, and I also photograph couples and anniversary sessions, in my studio or a private rental.

My wedding is soon. Is it too late?

Reach out with your date. I will tell you honestly what is possible before you reserve.
